Very nice use of depth of field, just enough to keep all the dandelions (der Löwenzahn) in focus. Good colours and composition too. I cannot find any Exif data on your blog, it would be interesting to know the lens and aperture used for this picture (to learn about and appreciate technique).

Thanks Erik! It’s quite a bit of stuff that’s involved in the making of the picture: A Canon 400D, a Tokina 12-24 lense at 12mm, a ND-gradfilter, a bracketed shooting at f7.1 with 1/100, 1/200 an 1/400s and eventually I, who merged the shots together…
moin stefan, bin zum ersten mal auf deinen seiten gelandet und finde sie von der gestaltung her sehr schön, ruhig – es spricht mich sehr an. das bild ist ganz sicher nicht of the ordinary kind, sondern öffnet den blick irgendwie nach oben über den löwenzahn hinweg. der hdri-effekt ist sofort spürbar, einerseits diese “klarheit”, andererseits dieser verwaschene, ein bisschen ausgefressene himmel. gegensätze halt. trotzdem das bild für meinen geschmack ein bisschen “zu voll” ist, finde ich es interessant – es reizt zum längeren betrachten. mal sehen, ob ich die stimmung, die es vermittelt, noch näher herausfinden kann.
ich werde öfter mal bei dir vorbeischauen, deine motive sind zum teil auch die meinen.

@all The originals were just merged together manually without the help of a program like Photomatix. Thus, I did not make a HDR-picture from the bracketed shots and tonemapped the HDR. It is only a simple kind of Dynamic Range Increase…

In der Tat ein gewöhnlicher Ort und ein gewöhnliches Bild. Das leichte tonemapping bringt allerdings die Kontraste sehr schön zur Geltung.
